Position Title:              Quality Control Inspector (Structural Steel)
Employee Level:         Supervisory
Report to:                    Project Manager
Location:                     Site Construction - Qatar

Responsibilities and Duties

​

1. Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints.

2. Knowledge of Steel Structure codes applicable to steel fabrication and erection.

3. Self-perform quality control inspections of shop fabrication which includes fit-up, weld preparations and final welds.

4. Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control.

5. Inform Foreman/Supervisor  of defects on fabrication if any.

6. Help and assist shop personnel with interpretation of drawings and specifications.

7. Observe company safety policy while working.

8. Coordinate work with production to identify required inspections.

Qualifications

​

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a field related to Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Mechanical Engineering

• Must have at least 3-5 years structural steel quality control experience, be able to multi task and be a team player.
